Daniel Gonzales (started June 2019) (joint with Pluta Lab)
Daniel joined the lab officially in the Summer (2019). He comes to Purdue after completing his PhD in electrical engineering and applied physics at Rice University, Texas, USA . His areas of expertise are in nanofabrication, nanotechnology and neuroscience. Daniel will research flexible nanoelectronic platforms for interfacing to dendrites in vivo. Daniel was awarded a two-year Lilian Gilbreth Fellowship from the Purdue Engineering School, and was recently awarded the prestigious HHMI Hanna Gray Fellowship. Daniel is a joint postdoc with the Pluta Lab.
Saumitra Yadav (Arriving Fall 2019)
Saumitra joined the lab officially in Fall (2019). He comes to Purdue after completing his PhD in nanoscience and neuroscience at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. His areas of expertise are in nano-optics, two-photon microscopy, and electrophysiology. Saumitra is researching dendritic dynamics during fear and recall using a combination of behavior, two-photon imaging, and electrophysiology.
Xiaoling Chen (Arriving Fall 2019) (joint with Kinzer-Ursem Lab)
Xiaoling will be joining the lab officially in Fall (2019). She comes to Purdue after completing her PhD in molecular and cellular pharmacology from Peking University, Beijing, China. Her areas of expertise are in ion-channel biophysics and dynamics in disease, and in vitro electrophysiology. Xiaoling is researching dendritic spine chemical and biophysical signalling using a combination of nanoscopy, two-photon imaging, and electrophysiology. Xiaoling is a joint postdoc with the Kinzer-Ursem Lab.
